Hello Lumberjack fans,
This past Saturday the Jacks traveled to Ellendale to play the Lions from Trinity Bible.
The Jacks came away with a 37 to 24 victory. The Jacks were able to move the ball the first two series but ended up in turnovers. After we were able to settle down the offense played its best ball of the season. The defense was solid again except for about 3 pass plays. It was a good way for our sophmores to go out and hopefully gave our freshman some confidence for next year.

We now turn our attention to recruiting for next year. We have had lots of emails and interest already.
If you know of someone who would like to play football in college please have them call, email or get ahold of someone at the college. They can always go on our website and fill out the recruit form and then we would have all of their information.

Thanks for following Jack football !!
Have a great week and cheer for the Jacks.

The lumberjacks traveled to Mayville on Friday night and came away with a 30 to 7 win over their JV. The Jacks got their running game in gear and were able to control the ball on the ground for most of the night. We had a couple of costy penalities that kept us out of the end zone and had some really costly fumbles that kept us from scoring a couple more touchdowns. The defense had a very solid night with a couple of great goalline stands. They played very well I felt except for two plays where we let them get a couple of big plays.

This Saturday the Jacks travel to Ellendale to get a rematch with the Lions.
Game time is 2 pm.
Have a great week!!!!
Go Jacks!

Good Morning Jack fans,
Saturday afternoon the Jacks hosted the Lions from Trintiy Bible. The Jacks got off to a great start and took the opening kickoff  and drove in for a touchdown. After that the Jacks were in slow motion I felt and never really got into the game. Missed oportunities on offense time and time again in the first half would come back to haunt the Jacks as the game went along. Again we had some great chances to cash in and failed to do so both offensively and defensively. Overall it has to be the most disappointed the Jacks have performed all year. The final ended up being 35 to 21 in favor of the Lions. This friday we travel to Mayville to play the JV from Mayville State.

Hello Lumberjack fans,
This last Saturday we hosted Ellsworth Community College from Iowa. The Jacks came up on the short end of a 33 to 0 score. The Jacks had the same problems that they have been having all season keeping drives alive on offense. They played a really aggressive defense that gave us some opportunities for big plays but we could not capitolize on their aggressive play. The defense did some good things again and look to be improving nicely. We need to find some rhythm on offense and make things happen. The Jacks play at home again on Saturday. Kickoff is at 2 pm

Have a great week!

Hello Lumberjack fans,
Saturday the Jacks traveled to Wahpeton for a game with the Wildcats. It was a beautiful afternoon for football. We ended up losing the game by the score of 45 to 6. We actually were in the game for most of the day being down 26 to 6 with 6 minutes to play and the wheels fell off. On the offensive side of the ball we were able to move the ball at times in the first half but were hurt with 3 big penalities.
We received the second half kickoff and drove down the field and scored in a great drive. On our next five possesions we turned the ball over and gave Science great field position. The defense for the most part had a pretty decent day. We gave up 3 big pass plays that resulted in a couple touchdowns for them. We are seeing some improvement, but are really having trouble being consistentant play after play. This Saturday we play at home against Ellsworth CC at Noon kickoff. The time has been changed so please be aware of that. Hope you have a great week and Go Jacks.

The lumberjacks hosted Iowa Central Saturday afternoon on a great afternoon for football.
We lost by a score of 57 to 7. The first half was a bright spot for the Jacks as the defense played
some inspired football and had some great stops. The offense struggled to get anything going and
led to their first 9 points. We were able to get on the board with a long completion and a short run
for a TD, but they returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and we really never recovered from
that. The second half Iowa Central used their huge offensive line to wear the jacks down and on offensive we had trouble moving the ball against a bigger physical team. The Jacks are off this week
to work on some things and hopefully make some improvements.

Hope you all have a great week and GO JACKS!!!!!!!

Good morning Jack fans, yesterday we traveled to Moorhead to play the Condordia JV, The Jacks lost a good game by the score of 22 to 14. We received the opening kickoff and drove promptly down the field and scored, but then it was a struggle the rest of the way. We fumbled 6 times and lost 4 and had a couple of costly penalities that took away a touchdown and a couple nice runs. The defense was put in some bad situations because of all the turnovers and played well except for a couple drives we could not get off the field. Next up for the Jacks is a home game on Saturday against Iowa Central at noon kickoff.

Hello Lumberjack fans. Welcome to the 2012 football season. The Jacks kicked off their season last night by hosting the Mayville State Comets Varsity. We ended up losing the contest by 42 to 6. The game we thought was a lot closer than the score indicated. We gave up a long run, a long pass, and a bad snap on a punt which led to 21 points for them. On offense we were able to move the ball, but we were our own worse enemy. We dropped a td pass, fumbled on the 5 going in, and twice had drives inside of the red zone stopped by penalities. Over all we were happy with our effort for the first game and found we have many things to work on yet. The players will get a couple days off with Labor day weekend here and back to work on Monday to get ready for the Concordia JV next Sunday in Moorehead, MN. Thanks for checking in on the Jacks and hope you have a great weekend.
